  1. Which seven wonders?

Most people mean the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" when they use that term: The Great Pyramid at Giza, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Pharos Lighthouse in Alexandria, Egypt, The Colossus of Rhodes, The Tomb of King Maussollos in Helicarnassus, The Statue of Zues at Olympia, & The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus.  These sites were originally listed by Herodotus and Callimachus as part of a kind of travel guide in ancient times, and compiled into their current form some time in the Medieval Period by who knows who.

It seems as though everybody has their own list of "World Wonders."  You can find them all over the place.  I'd like to get out there and make my own list.

BTW-only one of the ancient wonders is still standing.
