The 750 meters Coral Champions Night Marathon Final made Razldazl Pru star of the show
This was the three-year-old's third hit consecutively in the Romford racing course. Trainer K J Findlay was confident about his hound, Razldazl Pru's, victory and was given a chance to celebrate on the 7th of September, 2011.
The black dog, wearing red and white number 1, raced through his trap with a tremendous pace. The champion railed on through the dirt and eventually he was leading the race.
Finishing first for trainer K J Findlay, the victorious hound took 46.78 seconds to cover the required distance.
Razldazl Pru was followed by the five-year-old Droopys Kirbee, who was shy by six lengths to finish second in the competition.
Railing through trap 4, the 25/1 favourite had to face trouble when he got checked by 3 lengths.
Although trainer P W Young’s white and brindle dog kept on running with an amazing chase, it was too late for him to present a hit.
Finishing second in 47.26 seconds, Droopys Kirbee was followed by Blonde Blitz who was 1 ¾ lengths behind him.
The blue dog, wearing black and white stripes with red number 6, had a speedy chase in the initial stages of the race, but the four-year-old could not compete with his contenders and finished third for trainer A M P Collett in an estimated time of 47.40
seconds.
A B Gifkins’s Capel Yankee, the 10/1 favourite, had a very sluggish start and his poor speed made him finish 1 length behind Blonde Blitz.
The brindle dog started his chase from trap 3, wearing black and white, and reached the wire in 47.84 seconds, finishing fourth for trainer Capel Yankee.
The female dog racing for the purse among the pack of hounds was the brindle b***h, Nice N Furry.
The three-year-old was 4 ½ lengths away from the wire when Capel Yankee reached the finish line. Trained by P W Young, the young hound lacked swiftness in her pace from the very start of the race.
Running from trap 5, the 20/1 favourite remained in the middle position throughout the race.
She managed to finish fifth by covering her distance in 47.84 seconds.
The last one to reach the wire was trainer M A Wallis’s Mountjoy Orion who finished sixth by 3 lengths.
The white and brindle b***h, with a good start, eventually got bumped in during 3 lengths.
Covering the distance in 48.08 seconds, the two-year-old could not manage to achieve a respectable position in the race.
Out of £1600, the winner was rewarded £1000 whereas the runner-up won £200 while the rest of the hounds were given a £100 each.
