The 8 hour race?

I've seen it mentioned a few times and I got a bit confused. I even read about it in Rossi's book (still reading it.. and I even enjoy doing it ;)). So ... some information about it?

Suzuka was on last weekend, it its an annual 8 hour endurance race that FIM slots into their endurance series:

We couldn't find anywhere in Europe that was doing live coverage (or even reporting) but luckily found this guy who did an hour by hour round up:

Have a look at some of the you tube footage he has links to, it just shows how good these bikes are (the 8 hour is just that, they swap the riders every hour and refuel/tyre change - but apart from that the bike is going all out for 8 hours!)

Honda has had a choke hold in recent years but this year Kagayama/Akiyoshi won on a Suzuki. good on 'em!
