Hey there Saba! I think you may be focusing too much on the set up half of the question. The question really is, if it was such a nail biter WITHOUT the Bengals best Defensive player. What would have been the outcome had that great Defensive player ACTUALLY PLAYED the whole game?!

I think Montana, Rice, Bill Walsh, et al. would still have found a way to win.  Just my feeling.

There are so many variables that it's impossible to say.  What if he just had a bad game?  Maybe then his back-up would have been better for the team.  Who knows?
