I am just a small fish in a big pond but lets face it Georgia attacks the independent province believing that the west would help them in face of Russian aggression and what happens, it hands Putin the excuse to rub his hands and teach the west a lesson in who holds the whip hand in what goes on in Europe !

  1. It was also around the time the olympics started. So, it might have little to do with numerology and more to do with keeping the attention in China instead of on the attack. However, if this was the goal, it's failing miserably. I don't think viewership of the olympics is nearly as high as anticipated...

  2. maybe he was but on the 9th  oth 9th  2009  he will regret it watch this apace  by by russia

  3. America doesn't need Putin to show us nothing, I think we already know who holds the power, between Russia and China and  the Arab countries , we look like a ant on the ant hill.

  4. Sorry but South Ossetia seperated itself from Georgia 17 years ago because of seperatists there. This wasn't something agreed upon by Georgia. If California decided to seperate itself from the U.S. you best believe the U.S. will do anything to regain it back. The only reason Putin is involved is because he's jealous of the pro-democratic president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili. He's backed by the U.S. and the EU, and get's military training from the U.S. as well. Putin has been in disputes in the U.S. due to it's wanting to place strategic defensive missiles around Eastern Europe, and this is just adding to the situation. Although Dmitry Medvedev is the Russian president, it's Putin that really runs the show.

  5. Lucky?

    It was actually my birthday!

  6. and rightly so. Russia is defending the people of south Ossetia from the aggressors Georgia. The people of South Ossetia want to be part of Russia so its in Russia's interest to defend them

  7. Ossetia is internationally recognised to be inside Georgia. It's never in history been independent.North Ossestia is controlled by Russia,it has no independence

  8. 8. 8. 08 is definitely a lucky number for that Georgia big idiot ! This Uncle Sam's little puppy thought Uncle Sam will  scare off the big Russia Bear as it bites its neighbour.  Boy, how wrong that idiot is?  He started the first shot, received unforgetable punishment from its neighbour, then is expecting its master to save him.  Even funnier is its master told the BIG BEAR its retaliation over that idiot   is unproportianate to the crime that  his little puppy has committed on last Thursday.  What a funny political show in addition to all the Olympic games.
