The Absent Mare firmed to win 32red.Com Handicap at Kempton
The Absent Mare will confidently prove her presence at Kempton racecourse on Thursday, March 29 and finish first in the £32 Free At 32red.Com Handicap, the Class 5 contest which is scheduled to commence at 7:25 (GMT).
On 2m Standard track, the Robin Dickin-trained grey filly will compete against Russian George, Gilded Age, Handles For Forks, Ministry, Vertueux and Inside Knowledge.
Each of the above runners is likely to struggle hard for the big prize money worth £2,264. However, The Absent Mare stands above all in terms of talent and stamina.
The four-year-old filly bagged a couple of victories during October-November 2011. She moved forward to earn a runner-up rank each in February and March 2012.
Overall, the brilliant sprinter has two triumphs to her name. She has run for 19 times to date since making debut in September 2010.
The talented filly’s recent purple patch is sufficient to expect that she will show a convincing run in today’s marathon.
The Absent Mare’s chances to finish first in the Handicap are more than 90 percent provided she does not lose her confidence.
Out of the other runners, Vertueux and Handles For Forks are supposed to perform well in the race.
Vertueux accomplished an epic triumph on February 6, 2012. The Tony Carroll-trained grey gelding moved forward to finish fifth and fourth in his two subsequent outings. Overall, he has won 5 out of his total 40 stars to date.
On the other hand, Handles For Forks nicely clinched a runner-up rank on September 5, 2011. Mick Channon’s Bay filly stood fourth in her very next outing. In her last start on October 3, she ended up with third top spot. However, she has been winless so
far.
There is expected to be a tough tug of war between Vertueux and The Absent Mare in today’s showdown.  The duo will fight neck-and-neck. Though both the runners look to be of equal calibre but The Absent Mare has higher chances to get a breakthrough. Good
luck to all.
