  1. There are absolutely no pictures alowed by the public of The David or anywhere in the museum.

  2. They have a no camera rule - photography isn't allowed at all. That being said, every time I have been there I have witnessed people taking pictures - sometimes the guards see them and shout out "no photo!" and sometimes they don't. The official website is here http://www.firenzemusei.it/00_english/ac... but it does not mention the photo policy anywhere I can see.

  3. No, they don't allow photography of any kind.  There are posters and postcards available in their giftshop, though.

  4. They don't want you taking pictures because they prefer to overcharge you for post cards.  That being said, i recommend turning OFF your flash (there's enough light anyway) and taking a picture on the quick.

Mine turned out great, and if you look in the bottom corner you can see the shocked look of the museum curator just realizing i was taking a photo and turning to shout at me.  Classic!!!

  5. This will all depend on the "guards" who are watching the crowd or drinking espresso and talking on the cellphone...etc.
