The Adams family makes the PGA Tour debut with a killer combo!
Frank Adams III will be the first and only pirate to make a PGA Tour debut. Adams qualified for the PGA Tour after he hit a 4-under-par 66 at the Carolina Golf Club.
Adams has been a professional golfer since 2002. He has won the eGolf Tour event six times in his career and is ranked second on the tour’s all-time wins list.
Speculations surrounding his debut at the PGA Tour were confusing. It is considered that Adams is still not ready to take on a tour as big as the PGA Tour.
On the other hand, the 27-year-old former pirate has experience on his side, which counters all the speculations surrounding his debut at the PGA Tour.
Adams has a benefit on his side in the form of his younger brother. Russ, who has been an infielder for the last two years, has some useful experience up his sleeve, which has turned out to be a blessing for Adams as he eyes the PGA Tour.
“I think the biggest thing is just having someone on the bag that you are comfortable with and it helps when you know someone that well. They are a little better at knowing when to say something,” said Adams while giving an interview.
Russ will be caddying his younger brother and had mixed thoughts about his brother’s PGA Tour debut.
“It’s probably harder on me than it is on him,” Russ said when asked about his team up with his brother.
He admitted that dealing with the pressure during the play is something he is still working on. This side of the play is new for him and he considered his younger brother to have more experience regarding field presence and playing under pressure.
Adams, on the other hand, seems confident about his current form and is ready to take on the PGA Tour for the first time.
“I feel good about it, I like where my game is right now,” said Adams while talking about his recent form.
Adams appears bold and confident in his pre-PGA Tour games and has his eyes set on the PGA Tour win.
His experience and his younger brother’s presence may get him over and above the other debutants on the upcoming PGA Tour event.
