The American Greyhound Racing on the rise
Greyhound Racing is not just confined to UK, it has its roots well spread in the USA too. The Greyhound Racing Association of America has done all and more for its promotions, prosperity and enhancement through years. It was established for the well-being
of the members, fans, supporters and the greyhound racing dogs who have made the sport possible.
Educating the audience and then changing them into die heart fans is one of the many things GRA is famous for. Making the general public literate about the fact that the sport is not unfair and each stadium is different in its treatment of the greyhounds
is important to disseminate.
It does not only form a community of the trainers, owners and the bettors, there is always one or the other activity available at the stadium that can be a source of entertainment and centre of attention for many.
There are open houses, book-signings, musical entertainment and stakes races that have prize money ranging from $5,000 to million.
The good news for the fans is that the sport is prospering and getting better day by day, with the hike in attendance and the overall prize money.
Anyone who has ever raised a greyhound would know that it is impossible to race them forcefully, they are as free willed as any one of us and also have different opinions the way each one of us has. If there was a way of making them race forcefully and eventually
making profit, then there would have been no other racing sport alive.
No other dog ever in history has been able to get entire stadiums made for their racing cause neither has any been successful in persuading them to build wide-open spaces so that they could race safely.
The tracks are well maintained and tailoured for the ease of the greyhounds, instead of racing a tension building contest, it’s more like that the greyhounds are enjoying a trip over beach sand.
If there are greyhounds who have suffered due to the injustices of some connections, that does not necessarily has to be stamped in the face of the entire greyhound racing fraternity.
