I was wondering how much a ticket would cost from Philly to DC

By looking at the amtrak website and putting in 2-28 for you departure, it would be 43.00 at the cheapest, The Acela is the most at 127.00.

The page is working for me, I would look for you but I need dates of departure, arrival etc, how many ppl are going etc..

On an Acela Express train - around $100 each way.

On an Amtrak Regional train - around $100 round trip.

Amtrak fares have gone up but they remain competitive with the airlines.
