  1. I'd say A because that's why the pilgrims came here -- for religious freedom.


  2. B probably comes the closest, though the term "weak" implies something I believe to be in error.  I would use the term "shortage of" instead.  However, I believe the correct answer to be "None of the above."

    (Remember, the Puritans were Anglicans, as are the Episcopalians.)
