The Approval Process for the Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card?

Last Evening we were shopping for cameras on amazon and decided to get the amazon.com rewards visa card since u get $30 after being approved.... Well we did not instantly get approved they said it would be approved in a few days to two weeks. Well until we get approved and get $30 we won't get the camera... but I need it for an important event so I am worried about if it will come in time. So my question is, how long does it usually take for this amazon rewards visa card to get approval?
