The Artist all set to tame the Machine
Darts is once again all set to redefine excitement with the upcoming battle between Kevin Painter and James Wade at Westpoint Arena in McCoy's Premier League of darts.
Both the players have their own pros and cons, but each of them has a spark and fire that can definitely play a role in winning the Premier League.
Painter, after a rather shaky and skeptic start in the event, was able to replenish his account of victory after outclassing Aussie ace Simon Whitlock with an 8-3 score line in Belfast.
In his opening encounters against Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor, The Artist could not perform as per expectations.
Keeping in mind that he is a debutant in a Premier League event, his performance is being appreciated and encouraged by pundits as well as the audience.
In his encounter against Whitlock at Odyssey Arena, he was able to silence all his critics with his superb performance that left his opponent completely helpless on the oche.
With the help of his 14-darter, he was able to checkout with an 86, with a bullseye shot.
Commenting on the win, Painter said, "I've come into the Premier League, like Andy Hamilton, very much an underdog but I've won two games out of three and I'm doing alright".
Furthermore, all efforts made by Whitlock to bounce back in the game were crushed by the Artist and his back-to-back shots at 180.
On the other hand, James Wade is still searching for the breakthrough in the event. He has so far not been able to register a single win in the event.
Once regarded as a top contender in darts, Wade seems to be losing his vigour and enthusiasm.
According to experts, Wade has still not been able to recover completely from the psychological and nervous disorders he was suffering from.
He is still on medication. Many of them have also advised him to sideline himself from darts for the time being until he does not recover from his disease completely.
The Machine along with Phil Taylor was regarded as hot favourite for Ladbrokes World Darts Championship by veterans like Eric Bristow.
However, he could only proceed to the semi-finals where he was defeated by Adrian Lewis.
