  1. I didn't see the speech, but I did look up the transcript on the UCUS website. I found it to be intelligent, and insightful. The phrase "No man (or country) is an island" is no more apparent than in the 21st century. Western society and cultural values have lifted standards of living and freedom across the globe to standards never before seen in human history. But there are those who do not share those values. We must not kid ourselves  into thinking they keep to themselves. It is only by clear thinking,  unity and promoting economic freedom can we hope to maintain our security in the world. Ever since since the end of the cold war we have been living in an increasingly dynamic and potentially dangerous world. He decisions we make now will have profound ramifications for not only ourselves, but our children and grandchildren.  I only wish more people took a long range view of world events.

It is very refreshing to see that to everyone on YA gets their information from wikopedia or youtube.
