He is the second person who is set to work on this designation of BAM as Kamil Ismail Idris Shah is already working in this designation.

Majid has promised to keep on working with dedication and commitment. He vowed to all of his efforts for the development of all BAM programmes.
After being promoted to deputy president, Majid said, “I am humbled by the unanimous decision of the council to give me this mandate as the deputy. It may be due to my tenure as one of longest serving officials in the association besides Tengku Kamil.”

He further added, “As the deputy, one of the issues that I will place greater emphasis on is the development programmes.”
He said that his major focus will be on the grooming of junior shuttlers, who will represent Malaysia at international level in the near future.
The BAM president, Nadzmi, stated that he is optimistic for the future efforts of Majid for the welfare of Badminton in the country. He further expressed that BAM is doing well on the developmental programmes for the development of the game in the country.
