At the CSME(Caribbean Single Market & Economy) summit recently held, the PM said that Barbados wasn't able to offer persons from the other islands to come there and enjoy the standard of living that Barbadians enjoy..........to be exact he said "the underclassed"!! What are your views about your PM calling people who may want to come to Barbados for a chance at a better life "the underclassed"!! Was there ever a time when Barbadians had to go to other Caribbean islands with the hope of enjoying a better life or was Barbados always filled with "classy' people?!?

  1. I think the Barbadoes Prime Minister has some serious issues!  He always says some outta-timing things!

  2. Statements such as that DIVIDE nations. I personally haven't found barbados' people to be PARTICULARLY CLASSY AT ALL!

Now i am not saying y'all are classless. His speech is classless. He reminds me of a particularly african dictator and tyrant, refering to blacks of another tribe as 'cockroaches'. I don't know how such a statement can be justified.

Next they will want to have a caribbean privy council that is quicker to hang those Jamaicans (or other visitors) who are 'classless'.

Its a truly sad and classless thing for a caribbean leader to say. Not even George Bush would stoop that low.

  3. Whenever I think about the Caribbean the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that we are a "one love" community. 'Tis a shame that someone in power should try to destroy that.

  4. I'm really glad this is happening. Illiterate young person's wanted a change and hey! they sure are getting their change.....a change for the worst.

Our current PM is  'POWER HUNGRY' and is doing alot of c**p. our economy is in alot of trouble and our lovely PM isn't helping....

Our money has basically been devalued. $20 cant buy wat it could ten, five or even one year ago.

Alot of DLP person's got excited and jumped around because its time for a 'change', remember the famous quotes? " WE WANT POWER, WE WANT POWER" well they have the power now and i'm really glad their doing this...

I'm waiting for the opposition reply today....

  5. BWDMC !! he eat too much fish

  6. I think that is a very arrogant statement to make. All human are equal regardless of their country of birth. A person in authority such as a prime minister shld think about what he say before he say it..haven't he ever heard the phrase a still tongue keepeth a wise head.. No man is an island and he got to remember the same underclass ppl that he refer to may be the same nation of ppl who his country may need somewhere down the line in the future
