The Barcelona players speak after the Zaragoza triumph – Part 2
He also spoke of his coach Josep Pep Guardiola’s new tactics and said that it was a good idea to change the tactics as other teams can easily read how the team performs. He said that the tactical change was good and proved to be very successful
as they had more players in the midfield compared to their opponents.
He further added on to his comments by saying that it is very hard to give 100% during every game because of a lot of factors. Real Zaragozas’ crowd is very difficult to play in and he stated that the team still managed to perform well
and he is happy that they got a win and stuck on to their spot in the Spanish La Liga.
Josep Pep Guardiola introduced a young Barca B player during the second half, Thiago Alcantara. Thiago is considered to be one of the few players who can actually replace the midfield maestro Xavi Hernandez in the future; however he still has a long way to
go.
Thiago also said a few words about the performance and the young Spaniard said that he tries to take advantage of such opportunities in which his coach plays him and he tries to give his best so that he can make a spot in the team. He
said that all the players around him are very modest and he tries to learn from each and every one of them and all of them help him while playing alongside him.
He further added on to this by saying that he is trying to gain experience from all the games that he plays and he loves to train and play with such amazing players and he really wants to continue doing so. His concluded his talks by saying
that the team is hungry for titles and goals as they want to win after every game.
The Spanish goalkeeper and the Barcelona number 1, Victor Valdes missed out the match against the Danish Champions FC Copenhagen because of a stomach problem but he was back against Real Zaragoza and gave a very steady performance.
Victor Valdes also talked to press and told about his health during the midweek. He said that even though the fever and the problem lasted for only day and a half, it was still very nasty and he did not like it even a single bit. He further
added on by saying that the red card that Real Zaragoza earned during the second half really helped them as they barely came to their side of the field and he was barely troubled. He also praised Guardiola for his amazing tactics and he said that it was nice
how the team was dominating in the midfield.
The last man who was interviewed was the “controversial” figure of the game, the Brazilian defender Daniel Alves who was actually made to play up front on the right flank as he did not feature at his favourite right back position. The
Brazilian maestro said that the team is happy about the win because it was a tough ground. He further added on by saying that he was playing a bit higher up the flanks and he felt very comfortable there as he helped the team with his crosses and short passes.
When he was asked about the red card, he stated that he was hit by the player and even though many said that he was “play acting,” that is simply not true and does not like the fact that people put it that way.
Even though Barcelona were not at the top of their game they still managed to win the game with the help of Lionel Messi who put on a great show along with Andres Iniesta and he was able to score a brace to make it four away wins this
season for Barcelona, the best start of the season for them on the road of the Spanish La Liga.
