The Barclays Singapore Open: Betting Preview (Part 1)
The Barclays Singapore Open will commence from the 11th of November till the 14th of November and holds a rather classy collection of golfers this time. The event is welcoming players like Noh Seung-yul, Matteo Manassero, Francesco
Molinari and Graeme McDowell all competing for one of the most lucrative first place positions in a while.
Among those who are appearing to prove their worth in the event are Adam Scott, Joost Luiten and Robert Karlsson.
The event has been able to catch the fancy of an ample sum of first rate golfers, but botched to draw the full enmity hamper due to its collision with the Australian Masters. The Masters will be held in Melbourne and has been able to heave
a fairly diminutive total of the top crème due to the giant swag of the BS Open.
This is a 204 player field that has been increased in number this year along with the 1 million increases in its prize money and will commence on Thursday. The field includes players from the US Open and USPGA Championship, last week’s
HSBC Championship, seven Ryder Cup performers and top players from the Golf world ranking.
Aiming for a full set of Major winners, it failed and only managed to grab three players competing out of four. The fourth golfer is Louis Oosthuizen who unfortunately had been the victim of his prolonged ankle injury that he experienced
in September.
Considering Martin Kaymer and Graeme McDowell, they are well under way for their place in the race to Dubai. With the prize of over 700,000 Euros, the Ulsterman has his plans well under way for the first prize and top class performance
for the two more events scheduled ahead.
The venue for this escapade is the Sentosa Island of Singapore and will hold its four rounds on the Serapong course and the Tanjong course, both of which are huge enough to accommodate the massive competitive line-up planned to battle
out for the money and ranking.
So the event has a huge amount of European golfing aggressors all pouncing at the BS Open but that’s not the only thing in abundance, the heat, humidity and the tricky putting surfaces of the Asian land is something that will be testing
the best of the best.
According to the critics, the winner of the event will be from the top formation among which Robert Karlsson’s name is a prominent nominee. The Swedish golfer failed to achieve a cut if we move back 12 months from today to 2009 and had
his eye problem to the peak.
The 41-year-old had been victorious this year in Qatar but is more widely feared at the golf course due to his performance in Portugal where the golfer had been able to display his best form in a majestic way.
The event played by this man from Sweden experienced a brilliant ball-striking session and many hope that he could repeat what he did on those fields. Currently the biggest motivation one could give this forty one year old is his standing
on the race to Dubai. Karlsson is standing 5 places short of the top 15 money-spinning places.
After conquering the sparkling greens of China, The Italian Francesco Molinari will also be appearing in Singapore to repeat his win at the HSBC Champions event last week. The golfer carded a total of 269 with a minus 19 at the Sheshan
International GC and has something much more planned for the win than we can imagine.
Currently Robert Karlsson is standing at 40/1 which is 1/4 1,2,3,4,5 general only due to his superb performance at the Portugal series. This is thus a huge threat to nearly every golfer on the Barclays Singapore Open provided he repeats
the makes.
