The Barclays Singapore Open: The Indian's play, when it halted
The Barclays Singapore Open currently underway is in its second round. The all star field will continue till the 14th of November and includes a total of 204 golfers like Noh Seung-yul and Matteo Manassero.
The Sentosa Golf Club is an assembly of mega star golfers from the current US Open and USPGA Championship. Other than the previously mentioned, players from the last week's HSBC Championship, player number three and four from the Golf world ranking and seven Ryder Cup performers are also appearing at the tournament.
Among the classy congregation of players, seven Indian players also strive to make their mark at the Open. From the Indian line-up, Jyoti Randhawa is the only golfer who managed to end his first round in Singapore. The player carded an impressive 69 with a 2 under before the fields became gloomy enough to stop the USD six million play.
Randhawa collected a total of 3 birdies and 1 eagle at his Thursday's appearance which were played against 3 unfortunate bogeys at the Tanjong Course. The Indian was thus seen tied at the 56th place when around 108 golfers still needed to complete their first round that was halted due to worsening weather conditions.
The tournament faced a slow start due to the hammering rain and threatening lightening. The weather conditions worsened and forced the game to halt for a good 4 hour stretch. So for the late starters, it had been rather knotty trek to complete a full 18 hole game.
Other than Randhawa, C Muniyappa was considered as one of the top placed Indian golfers at the event. He decorated his round one score with 3 birdies and finished at the 37th place. The Indian golfer carded a total of 3 under while he was standing at the 12th hole.
Moving deeper into the leader board, SSP Chowrasia managed to attain a place at the 56th place with Randhawa. Chowrasia standing firmly at the 11th hole shared the position with Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jeev Milkha Singh, who held their footing at the sixth and tenth hole before the R1 halted.
At the 84th position, another Indian, Ashok Kumar, stood with a 1 under. The below 71 score placed him at the shared position of Digvijay Singh, Rahil Gangjee as well as Anirban Lahiri who still had to complete their rounds.

At one-over 72, Gaurav Ghei claimed a position at the latter half of the leader board while the superstars, Arjun Atwal and Shiv Kapur, carded an even-par score at the Open.
