The Batman & Robin: The Chiller Accident???

This weekend I'm going to Six Flags Great Adventure. Recently, I was looking up rides there on Youtube to see how bad the drops are because I''m extremely afraid& hate rollarcoaster drops. As I was looking, I came across the ride Batman & Robin : The Chiller and I saw people talk about some accident that happened on it. I searched the web and I couldn't find anywhere that said exactly what the accident was and what happened. Does anyone know what happened or has a link where it says what happened? Plz & Thanks

The Batman and Robin one was, a 13 year old girl got one of her feet cut off from the ankle because of a cable break. It's nothing to get worried about though, because it's highly, highly unlikely to ever happen again.

Unfortunately, Chiller has been taken down and replaced by The new dark night coaster, which is a waste of space, if you ask me.... anyway, there was no deaths on the Chiller, so that's not the reason why it got torn down. it's because of many technical difficulties, with the tracks and pieces It became so much work and $ 2 fix, that they just gave up on it. Hope this helps......

The injury was on the Superman Tower of Power ride last June; a girl's feet were severed when a cable snapped.

The chances of you being seriously injured on a theme park ride are something like 1 in 9 million; you have a better chance being killed in the car on the way there.

There were about 19,000 injuries last year from ALL amusement parks in the world, and these are based on ER visits.  But keep in mind that many are people who are too dense to read the safety instructions and ride with a bad back or neck, or a bad heart.  Some feel sick and vomit from the motion and go to the hospital for that.  And a ton of those people are employees working on the rides, not actually riding them.

As far as serious injuries, you are in the clear.

As you'll see, most of them are people repairing the rides, or people getting stuck on rides, or little kids standing up and not following the rules... ugh.
