1) When the people came out of the printing blocks. Everyone assumed it was mechanized. Also some foreigners thought that it was mah-jong.

2) Guo Jingjing and Wu Mingxia's dive! It was amazing. Basically, it was synchronized so well, and their form was so beautiful. Most people probably will saying something like Michael Phelps winning...

3) Guo Jingjing! I am a fangirl like WHOAH.

4) When I thought Michael Phelps was going to lose to Cavic.

5) Uh...if they're so unsung, I've probably never heard of them.

6) Men's volleyball. Basically, there's way less strategy involved so it's just like them hitting it back and forth. The women's are more elaborate.

7) Ridiculous: Bela Karolyi complaining about the scoring system. Hamm won with that scoring system and he never complained. UGH.

8) Cheng Fei: She could have done so much better on the vault, but she fell.

Wow, it's pretty obvious that I love Chinese athletes.

5.) Brendan Hansen. No one gives him any credit for anything anymore. Sure okay so maybe he didn't qualify for the 200 br in trials and maybe he did bad in the medley relay against Kitajima but it's okay, he's still really good and i like him and i think he deserves a little more credit.

6.) mens indoor volleyball is incredibly boring to me.

8.) Alicia Sacramone after falling twice and THE STUPID JUDGES GIVING HER FOURTH WHEN SHE DESERVED MUCH BETTER !!!!!! and for Dara Torres winning silver in the 50 free after working so hard for it being 41 and all and losing by literally a finger nail. She's so inspirational ahaha.

1.) The drummers, and their incredible synchronization.

2.) Chinese dominance in diving! :)

3.) Marian Dragulescu is my favorite, but because I'm Chinese...gotta say Guo Jingjing and Yang Wei!

4.) When Yang Wei messed up on the parallel bars on a really easy move and didn't qualify for the individual medal.

5.) Jason Lezak.  If it wasn't for his two incredible finishes in the team finals, Phelps would only have 6 gold medals, not 8.

6.) The race walk.  The race walk is for people who aren't fast enough to actually run.  I mean come on...An Olympic event for walking??

7.) Everyone accusing Cheng Fei of "cheating".  She started out with a higher level of difficulty than Alicia Sacramone, so the deduction from Cheng Fei's fall on the vault was made up for by the higher starting value.  If every vault score was based on the landing, then nobody would try anything difficult.

8.) Marian Dragulescu and Diego Hypolito.  They were the two gymnasts who were supposed to be fighting for the gold on the men's floor routine, and both messed up.  And especially Hypolito.  He was the world champion, and was expected to at least medal in that event to give Brazil their first ever gymnastics medal, but didn't.
