The Best British Players in the Premier League ( Part 2)
The Barclays premier league, plays host to some of the best football talent in the world. Over the years the league has seen, numerous legends come through its ranks. However this is only made possible due to the brilliant academies that the country has.
These academies produce some of the finest talent that the world of football has ever seen. Here is a look at some of the best young English Players who are making their way up the ranks in the Premier League.
Phil Jones
Another upcoming teenager who is almost certain to be an England international in the future is Blackburn’s Phil Jones. The teenager is currently only eighteen years old and has managed to only make fifteen appearances for the club, but despite that fact
the player has often been regarded as the future of England.
He is also a very versatile player, having played as both a centre back and a central midfielder for the club. He has also become a regular member of the England Under-21 side and has already started to catch the eyes of some of Europe’s elite clubs. Jones,
is one of the most solid youngsters in the world of football at the moment.
Despite being quite inexperienced and not as quick as some of his opponents, he still manages to get the better of them. This is mainly due to the fact, that he can read the game quite brilliantly and manages to use his physical presence to his advantage.
He is almost certain to become a part of the Blackburn first team in the future, but that is only if a bigger club doesn’t sign the player in the future.
Marc Albrighton
Aston Villa have had one of their worst starts to the season, in the clubs recent history. None the less amidst all this failure and the likes of James Milner and former manager Martin O’Neil leaving the club, there has been one ray of shinning light at
the end of the tunnel.
That ray of light is winger Marc Albrighton. The local boy has become a fan favourite, despite being only twenty years and having played only in six games for the team. Albrighton is naturally a right winger, but can play in the centre of the midfield as
well as a second striker. He possesses great technique and has blistering pace. He can leave defenders for dead, with very little or no effort what so ever.
He scored his very first goal for the team, the day James Milner left for Manchester City, which just proves that Albrighton is destined to do great things at the club. That is of course if Europe’s elite don’t come around prowling for the player. Albrighton
is also on the verge of making his international break, this is mainly due to the fact that countless players on the team have been getting injured and the manager is running out of options, fast. His only hope is to turn to the younger upcoming talents in
the country and they don’t get any better than Albrighton.
Albrighton despite his age, is still one of the most technically gifted players in the Premier League, he can bend in a brilliant cross and tends to make some intricate overlapping runs, that create space for his teammates, or get him into a very good goal
scoring possession. That being said there is still a lot more to come from Albrighton over the years.
