The Best British Players in the Premier League(part 1)
The Barclays premier league, plays host to some of the best football talent in the world. Over the years the league has seen, numerous legends come through its ranks. However this is only made possible due to the brilliant academies that the country has.
These academies produce some of the finest talent that the world of football has ever seen. Here is a look at some of the best young English Players who are making their way up the ranks in the Premier League.
Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale is a twenty one year old left footed player, who is currently employed by Tottenham. He made his name in the Tottenham first team, in the second half of last year’s season. So far Bale has managed to score seven goals in the fifty three appearances
he has made for the team. However those statistics, don’t really sum up the players contribution to the side.
The Welsh international has been a phenomenal force down the left flank at the club. He seems to have infinite stamina and is often found to be the only player running at his maximum, in the ninetieth minute. Bale also quite easily is one of the best left
footed and left sided players in the world at the moment. He can play at almost any position on the left side of the field.
Over his short career with the Spurs, the player has played at the left back, left wing, left midfield and left forward position. Bale is also gifted with brilliant technique. He has the ability to bend a brilliant cross and tends to create some brilliant
goals for his team mates, while scoring a few beauties of his own along the way.
Jack Wilshere
Arsenal have been reputed to be one of the best teams in the world, who have produced some of the finest young players in the world. Arsenal seem to have found another gem in the shape of Jack Wilshere. Despite being only eighteen years old, he has become
an integral part of the Arsenal first team. Last season the England international was loaned to Bolton to help him develop.
The player did just that, as he returned from Bolton earlier this season to finally establish himself as a regular for the first team. Wilshere currently plays in the Arsenal midfield along with, Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, despite that fact he doesn’t
seem or feel like a misfit in the side. He seems to almost seamlessly link up with the duo. Wilshere is also a very versatile player, he can play on either flank, as a defensive midfielder or a more central, attacking midfielder. He is also equally as good
with both his feet, which makes him be even more dangerous than he already is. Wilshere’s greatest asset however is his ruthless approach to playing every game.
He tends to go in and make as many tackles as he can and despite being physically much smaller than his opponents, he still manages to get the better of them. Wilshere is also a fantastic passer of the ball and has tremendous vision. He has already won the
hearts of the Arsenal fans and will be hoping to be playing at the Emirates for seasons to come.
