I am a training to be a professional sprinter so can anyone give me their opinion of what would be the best exercises in a sprinter's workout without the use of dumbbells or weights (don't ask me why) because I would really to get some muscles worked out for my future competitions. Muscle workouts could include say... Calves (soleus), Quadriceps (whole muscle), Forearms and Biceps, Deltoids but maybe all as individual workouts.

Thank you; remember it doesn't have to be my suggestions only whatever muscles are PROMINENT for short distance sprinting.

Thanks

  1. try doing some plyometrics like A Skips, High Knees, Accelerations, Butt Kicks, etc...

Also try doing ab workouts like leg lifts or crunches since these would involve using your muscles. Also work on your form. Pump your arms from pockets to ears since a good form will help you become very good.

  2. Listen

You should do lunges and squats and calve raises for your legs. And you can do push ups and chin ups and dips. Plyometric exercises will be very beneficial. You do need weight for sprinting you cant be skinny.
