The Best Seafood Restaurant in Sydney CBD Area?

OK so you have priorities and money does not count,   I would suggest that you take yourself to the International Shipping terminal,   there is a restaurant there called Doyles, this is run by the oldest seafood restaurant family in Sydney, they have quite a few restaurants around Sydney Harbout which are all good, specially the pub at Watson's Bay which looks right up the harbour, but this involves travel, better by day , you can get a ferry boat there from Circular Quay, which is pronounced Key,    but their restaurant at the Terminal fits your bill regarding views, it is directly opposite the Opera House, this view is fantastic.There is also another restaurant directly upstairs from Doyles in the same location, I think it is called Butlers, which also has the same view.

Sydney is the home of seafood restaurants by the harbour, perhaps you could have a look on the web - take a look at Sydney Restaurant sites,   Department of Tourism site, Sydney Morning Herald site [which is a newspaper that also produces a book  about the best of Sydney Eating] Also look at The Australian Womens Weekly site,   AWW.  Also look at a site for a TV show "Sydney Weekender"  they preview a lot of great restaurants in and around Sydney

Of course I can't finish this without telling you about my favourite, the only view is the local fishing boats, but the food - you would dream about, it is at the Fish Markets in a suburb named Pyrmont,  you actually go to the fish markets and they will cook anything you want to eat.   perhaps this does not fit your romantic scene but I guarantee the best - freshest seafood you will ever eat.
