Question:

The Best way to reduce emmissions?

Get rid of Cars all together. We should just get rid of cars and put the metal to better use. There is a way to not use ethanol, or gasoline and transportation fuel. Alll that is needed is a bag of oats.

Lets go back to riding animals. That would be the best way to reduce emissions the most, Right?

  1. Where's that bag of oats going to go?  Out the horse's butt - flatulence.  So, no, that wouldn't be the best way.

What about electric cars?  They don't emit anything.  We'd just need a little renewable energy.

  2. Walk or cycle

Use cars powerd by methane, hydrogen and solar energy

  3. I think the best way would have to do with building construction.  It is a very wasteful industry, but that is starting to change with the LEED certified buildings.

Getting rid of all cars is not even close to practical.  But it is a dream I wouldn't mind seeing come true....

  4. You sound like a hard-core "enviro-nut"

  5. Here,here

  6. Did you know that you can convert your car in minutes to a water-running car?

  7. u have my vote for president if u manage to do that

  8. As long as people like you keep putting out these ideas, there will not be much done for the environment. People are beginning to realize that until we go back to caves and give the earth back to animals, you won't be satisfied. There is going to be a constant droning on of fre_ks like you.

  9. Yes and we should kill off 1/4 of the worlds population as well because they breath way to much.

And we should stop all Airline travel to save on millions of tons of emissions each year.

And you need to shut off your internet and computer because you are wasting energy.

Sarcasm in Action (read above statements)

  10. Don't emit them! Choose a lifestyle which doesn't involve as much resource use, energy intensive activity etc.

I use renewable fuel in my house... in two logburners.  These burn smokefree and I use them to cook on, heat bathwater etc etc.  They still emit CO2 but if I plant plenty of trees, this is soaked up again.  My renewable fuel replaces fossil fuel which emits long-trapped CO2.

I have also chosen a car-free, meat free life, both of which emit quantities of greenhouse gases. And keeping animals, either for eating, drinking their body-fluids, or riding upon, isn't a good way to keep emissions low either!

    Ride a bike, or walk!

  11. one of the simplist ways to reduce emissions would be to change the way we use our vehicles. Do people really need to start and drive that gas guzzeling fume spittin' buggy one block to the coffee shop? Or cruise up and down main street just for the sake of driving? If this is you, perhaps a pure battery electric car would be more efficient for your application. Until that infernal combustion engine actually warms up to operating temp, it does waste fuel. If you actually believe the bio fuels will be better, including the Hydrogen Highway, then i'm sure that there will be a realtor who will be willing to sell you ocean front property in the middle of the Mohave Dessert. And yes, I will be turning off the lights at 8pm local time.

  12. to reduce emissions, cars should be replaced. Instead, we should ride horses. Instead of Gas stations there would be hay and water stations. The only problem would be instead of a lot of CO2 in the air, there would be A LOT of methane...because horse take really big s***s...

  13. Maybe but in your car engine there is a fuel pump. Over there is a nob controlling the amount of fuel going in the engine for cumbustion.

  14. Stopping humans from breathing would help reduce co2 emissions.

  15. Yeah, lets be the only idiots in the world to move backwards!

I celebrated our technology today with a "Power Hour" party, turned all the lights on! It was great, we watched an Indy race then some drag racing on tv.
