Question:

The Big Dummy?

Do you think you will get one? Is it a good idea? What is it? It is a heavy duty bicycle, the cost is about $1700. That is with the saddle bags and all. The frame is extended some and weighs about 15 pounds more than the conventional bike. I lived in Minneapolis and road a bike just about all year, it seems like I could get to work or where ever about as fast as in a car. Then when you figured in the time you spend looking for a place to park, the bike is quicker and you simply pull it up on the sidewalk and chain it up. With gas prices like they are I think they are a great idea. What do you think? You can always carry a back pack or day bag to carry a little more.

  1. Right, but because of economic stuff, bikes can't go anywhere in cities.

There's a freaking conspiracy forcing everyone to drive cars, srsly.

  2. The heavier it is the more energy it takes to move it.  Why would anyone want a heavier bike?  I'll never get one, it makes no sense to me.

  3. definitely a good idea...the problem is sometimes people have to commute 30-45 minutes by car or bus in order to get to work...I ride my bike to work every day but I don't think I'd be able to if my office were 25 miles down the freeway
