  1. Black Christ Day is celebrated in Portobelo (on the Caribbean coast), Panama on October 21st. The Black Christ (El Cristo *****) is sort of like the patron saint of criminals. Thousand of people (not all of who commit crimes) walk from Panama City to Portobelo to pay homage to the Black Christ and get forgiveness for the crimes they have commited. Some men (and woman) and splattered with hot candle wax as penitence and many crawl the last mile on hands and knees to worship before the Black Christ.


  2. oh for the love of god adyari is giving you bull**** look at my flag panama im from here the black crhist is not for crime and stuff  its jesus but from a diffferent perspective he is black no wax and thing like she is sayin, and people all over the country come to portobelo i have seen a statue of the black crhist in person in portobelo colon

    people pray to the black ("portobelo") jesus just like someone

    prayin to the "american" jesus they ask for forgivness and material

    things health ETC.

    BUT IS THE SAME JUST BLACK AND VIEWED FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.
