The Blackpool Illuminations?

Question

What time should me and my friends get there so you know we don't miss it? I can't find it on the internet and I've not been before. Well I have, but I don't know what time it was.

So I want to see the switch on and the fireworks, so what time does that happen?

It is the 29th of August starting at 8-30 so I would make sure I was in plenty of time,enjoy.

The greatest free light show on earth will this year be launched by one of the most watched programmes on the BBC. Top Gear are taking an extended pit stop in Blackpool this August to turn on the world famous Blackpool Illuminations.

Join them on Friday 29th August as they steer the live BBC Radio 2 concert to its dazzling climax, launching the six mile display of light.

29th August about 8-9pm

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond from Top Gear are suppose to be turning them on and they always wait until it has gone dark, I'm going for the day on 30th August.

Enjoy it should be amazing with them turning them on also if you are walking throught them make sure you wear comfy shoes or you can go on the tram or if you're in a car you can drive through it took me about 2 hours to walk throught them all the last time I went
