The Blarney Rose favourite to finish first in Hunters Chase
The Blarney Rose is leading the betting market for Glenview & Rathbarry Studs Mares Hunters Chase, a high-stakes Irish race which will take place at Cork track on Monday, April 9.
The Eugene M. O’Sullivan-trained bay mare is all set to face 14 tough rivals including Miss Palm, Merramax, Mandy Carroll, Mrs Mccluskey, Gothic Love, Pipers Glory, Ardkilly Flower, Magical Mother, The Three Colleens, Instant Dream, Manogue Supreme, Pilots
Dream, Butlers Storm and View The Dance.
The mammoth contest over 3m distance will commence at 2:55 (GMT). There is reserved €6,210 of prize money for the event.
The Blarney Rose is on a hat-trick at the moment. During February 2012, the maverick mare won two races in a row with favourite tags.
Prior to this, the talented runner had achieved a big victory on January 15. Overall, the veteran runner has 4 triumphs to her name.
The last two victories of the seven-year-old sprinter were quite amazing. They beautifully installed her as a favourite runner for Hunters Chase.
Now, The Blarney Rose is carrying a lot of confidence which will help her make a big impact again today and add one more victory to her success-studded career along with completing her hat-trick.
The hot favourite mare’s chances to finish first in the race are as high as 95 percent provided she manages to contain Mandy Carroll and Miss Palm.
Mandy Carroll has been performing well since the dawn of 2012. After achieving a big victory on January 15, the Brian Jordan-trained bay mare won another race on March 18. She moved forward to gain a runner-up rank in her last outing on March 25.
On the other hand, Miss Palm is also on a hat-trick. The D. Deacon-trained grey mare won a race each in January and April 2012.
