The Bob Baffert trained Bodemeister to settle at WinStar Farms when he retires
The Bob Baffert trained, Bodemeister, is attracting attention from all sides, after he delivered exceptional performances this season.

The three-year-old colt will be placed at WinStar Farms when he retires to stud. The owners of this colt, Ahmed Zayat and Michel and Tiffany Moreno have joined hands with Elliott Walden, President of WinStar Farm.
The son of Empire Maker, who is foaled by mare Untouched Talent, is stirring interest based on his pedigree and his recent performances.
Owner Ahmed Zayat spoke of the runners stated to the press that:
"I love Empire Maker, who was an awesome racehorse and has proven to be a great sire."
The owner further added: "I've been lucky to own three Grade I winners by Empire Maker, and Bodemeister is the most special because of the enjoyment he has given to me and my family. We are loving racing him, and I really believe Bodemeister is just
getting started.”
The young runner established himself as an excellent runner, when he claimed a massive Grade 1 victory in the $1 million Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park on 14thApril, 2012.
Over a distance of 1 1/8 miles, Bodemeister notched the victory by a margin of 9 ½ lengths over his stable-mate, Secret Circle.
The victory in the Arkansas Derby was a milestone for the young runner, and it guaranteed him the status of the favourite in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, on 5th May, 2012, where he covered a distance of 1 ¼
miles, but lost the victory to the Doug O'Neill trained, I’ll Have Another.
Despite his finish as a runner-up, he made history when covered half mile in 45.39 seconds, and completed the six furlongs of the race in 1 minute and 09.80 seconds.
The runner seems to have a big future ahead of him as he is lined up to compete in the Grade 1 $1 million Haskell Invitational Stakes, which will take place at Monmouth Park on 29th July, 2012.
President of WinStar Farm, Elliott Walden, appreciated Bodemeister’s racing ability and discussed his stud career:
"The raw speed he shows, combined with his freakish numbers, makes him the best stallion prospect on the market. I can't remember the last time a 3-year-old colt ran three straight triple-digit Beyers around two turns before the Kentucky Derby like
he did.”
