To think what this team can do now..............they should have beat sask in their own barn.......imagine what they can do with "GASP" a healthy team?

  1. Rider pride.  Don't forget that Saskatchewan has players on the injured list too.  Factor in Corey Holmes being on the team longer, and Winnipeg might have some surprises to look forward to.

  2. Don't buy play-off tickets yet.  The CFL has amazing parity, and a GREAT farm system south of the border ;-)

Still I have to agree the QB is getting better day by day, and the whole team is busting out all over.  I am impressed.  Go blue!

The "real" season is just starting now!   The only safe prediction is surprizes and unpredictability!  Injuries really kill you under a hard cap!

  3. I seem to remember someone asking about a month ago if BC would ever lose this year.  We saw how that turned out and now you think the Bombers are the new gods.  Gotta play the games and see how it goes.  I agree on paper it looks good but they play the game on grass, not paper.

  4. Yep, and they just showed sask the same thing.

  5. Guess what, today Winnipeg outplayed Saskatchewan in every single category on the field!  Glenn, to date, is having the best year of any quarterback in the league.

  6. Winnipeg should represent the very weak East in the Grey Cup but they are still going to have trouble beating teams from the West.  They will have to play there "A" game to beat Saskatchewan tomorrow!!!!  Saskatchewan can be beaten BUT you better be playing your best game as a team!!!!!

  7. Bombers have been consistent all season, you have to give them props for that. The only areas they need major work in is the secondary with pass coverage; special teams- Johnson can run the ball if we give him the blocks, and we normally get over 100 yards in penalties most games. If we tame these problems, we could definitely reign the ranks for a number of seasons to come.

Mark my words, things will start to change this Sunday at the Banjo Bowl and the rest of the season now that Bolden and Charleton are back in the D lineup.

    Tom Canada

    Doug Brown

    Jerome Haywood

    Kyries Hebert

    Robert Bean

    Juran Bolden

    Ike Charleton

    Barrin Simpson

    Kelly Malveuax

    Corey Jenkins

    It's like a dream team.

We should have beat Saskatchewan and in my mind, we DID beat them. We had more passing yards and thus more receiving yards - (Armstrong was fantastic!) Roberts got the Bomber rushing title, Tom Canada had 3 sacks, and we more first downs, and more total net yards.

We just lost our momentum in the fourth and gave Saskatchewan too much time to play with in the final moments of the fourth.
