  1. I've found this site to be very useful. It has sacred texts of a good number of the worlds religions, as well as numerous books on Magick.

This is one of the sites I have bookmarked as a good starting point for any esoteric reading I want to do...I highly recommend it. I just checked an it has a robust section on Egypt, as well as a copy of "The Book of the Dead".

    Hail Eris! All Hail Discordia!

  2. How about the book of Life?  The Bible...and why would you want to put your mind in such a state?

  3. You can get a copy almost anywhere. You can read alot of these things online as well. I research these things as well. Here are some other things that I found interesting and threw a page together. Try those other sites too. I found crystalinks totally interesting.

  4. Don't know, but I do know where the book of life is!

  5. Hmm i always thought that was fake

  6. The book of the dead is just a book of spells that protect a dead person on his journey to the Land of Reeds. I have read it and it is staggeringly boring.

"I shall not walk upside down. I shall not eat faeces. I shall not drink urine."

Stuff like that, only repeated over and over again.

You're probably better off getting just the Necronomicon if you want to do pretend magic.

Even if the book was REAL, it is only good to a DEAD PERSON travelling to the land of Osiris.

  7. I have English translations of two, one Egyptian and the other Tibetan.  They are simply prayers and instructions that the priest reads to the dead to instruct him or her how to get to the place that they are supposed to be going according to their religions.
