Will the Government realise that we can't cope?

Will they start to put thier own country ahead of others?

How far will they push us? - How far can you be pushed?

  1. Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown need their heads knocking together to make them see sense. At the age of sixty four I have been a trade Unionist and supporter of the Labour Party all my life, but sadly I can see no difference between Labour and Conservative. When the Chancellor and the Prime Minister cannot see that the burden of tax on the workers has reached saturation point, then its time for them to leave office before the people of this country throw them out, and they will not wait for Gordon to decide when he wants to hold a General Election.

  2. Taxes rise under every government, usually less under Labour, it's just that the mass media make a LOT more noise about it while Labour are in office.  It genuinely pains me that so few people understand this fact.

  3. HOW DO THINK THAT THEY STAY RICH.

Just raise the interest rates and inflicked hardship by lowering the standard of living. This makes more crime and keeps the police in a job who defend the government.

  4. you can see how money is wasted everywhere you go the way money is spent in communities road signs unnecessary civil servants

these things need to be sorted out to reduce taxes

I don't blame the super rich seeing as they do get taxed and if they got taxed anymore they'd up and leave and if they leave there'll be a lot less people to tax

I suppose really big companies in the UK need to be exploited because they can't just leave it's individual rich people who end up leaving

  5. Unfortunately all of the mainstream parties are singing from the same hymn-sheet on green taxes. They are all hellbent on getting poorer people out of their cars and making them walk. They all seem to think that if only wealthy people drive in some way it will save the planet albeit that India and China continue to pump out greenhouse gasses at record levels unabated. In a roundabout way they are actually taxing the air that we breathe.

  6. Yeah its so bad we will soon become a third world country and have to walk for miles just to get clean water,NOT.

EDIT: robbie b knows what im talking about. We have it so good here that an increase in taxes to me is nothing.Ive been to a third world country i lived there for months and i know how lucky we are just to have clean water out the tap and clean food

  7. I can foresee riots soon if the government keep pushing- greedy utilities keep raising there rate so company directors can get a million a year just in bonus's, MPs have far too much, my solicitor is charging me 200 pounds an HOUR

dentists are the same. its all me me me

We will sink soon under all the greed-although it would hurt me too, I would love to see all the eastern oilfields on fire.

We would have to go back to the old ways- and the greed merchants will die out

  8. We will all end up looking like scruffs cos of all the money we pay to just live.

  9. the problem isnt britain, its a worldwide problem, and has happened quite a few time in the past. as prices go up, food, fuel, which is not a problem to blame the government for, its logical that taxes have to go up to pay for these rises, everything is affected by oil prices and food prices as they affect production or running costs. the biggest problem is that wages are not going up to match the rising prices. also, the world wide banking system is affecting everything, ppl cant borrow as much, money is worth less, thre just isnt as much floating around. ppl in this country have gt used to living in a excellent economic environment, a almost hedonistic lifestyle whre food is cheap and borrowing is easy. ppl could spend and spend. this is a natural progression unfortunatly, ppl in developing countries are getting richer and hence want more food etc, prices go up.....also if we didnt have such a wastefull culture in this country the problem wouldnt be so bad. we eat to much and throw to much away. im a mum and i admit that im struggling, but it cant last forever. the economy tends to go in cycles. we ae just on the down run. if we are carefull itl go up again.....

  10. We're richer than we were in the early 1980's.

  11. Can we cope though ? Estimates are that we in the western world  have a lifestyle 80 times greater than most in the likes of Africa and Asia.

We are coping, we are better off than most and long may it continue to be so. Fairtrade !! stuff it !! gime, gime, gime, I'm alright jack, thanks for asking

  12. Cut the Fuel tax, down come prices,

  13. Problem is the super rich who pay no tax at all or very little while the average joe gets clobbered. There's no shortage of money in the UK, it's just those with the influence have it. Looking around locally I notice the really expensive properties are still selling.
