runners and goalkickers.I am wondering if Scott West will make them a better team.He is a champion buthas always played in the middle and i think this is working well for the dogs at the moment. My question is do you think he can be a great player in the forward line.I mean leigh mathews and Greg williams did it.Can he mark? Can he play anywhere else besides on the ball? Can he be a champion in the forward line and kick plenty of goals.I remember he kicked 6 in one game early in his career.

  1. I hope the bulldogs do win. I'm already sick of Geelong... lol

  2. Daniel Cross is one of those reasons,  Scotty West will make them a better team for sure, he has foot skills, handball skills, he isn't a great mark but either is Nathan brown at tiger-land, he could attract a great backman freeing up other players as well.  can't recall Diesel Williams doing much in the forward line, but Lethal certainly did.

So my answer in short is yes, whack him in the forward line or changing on the ball, no problems. he's a dead st champ in my eyes. always does something with the footy, the main thing in aussie rules.

  3. I'm sure he could do all those things if he returns to 100% fitness. He will be a great addition to the Dogs line up when he returns.

  4. We have some great hardball getters in the middle - Hudson, Cross, Boyd. Crossy especially, goes in hard, not flashy and won't be likely to receive many Brownlow votes, but definitely a star of the Dogs midfield.

Scott West could slot into the forward pocket, with his aging legs especially, wouldn't be likely to kick goals from 40+ metres out. However with Akermanis and Welsh in the FP currently, I find it hard to see Westy beating those 2 blokes for that position. If he was to go into the forward line it would free up Aker, Welsh etc. even if he may not turn out to be a great forward he would still demand a top defender being the player he is.

  5. I think the Bulldogs can knock off the Catters today, they have an awesome midfield and i think Cooney will now win the brownlow, he has had a great year so far already and with Scott West back they will kick some *** , there forward line is great and i just realised that if Brad Johnson didnt miss that goal earlier in the year to win the game, they would be on top

i couldnt be stuffed reading your question but the bullys will win today
