The Canterbury trio extend dates for the Canterbury Resort Golf Pass
Canterbury’s premier golf resorts signed a deal to promote golf in the region. Pegasus Golf Course, Terrace Downs Resort, and Clearwater Golf Course took the initiative of starting a joint venture with the purpose of promoting the sports in the region.
A press conference took place in Canterbury, New Zealand in which the executives from all three resorts represented their verdict.
In order to execute the plan, the trio extended the dates of the Canterbury Resort Golf pass from the 31st of March 2011 to 31st August 2011. According to the details, the pass is worth $500 and grants access
to all three golfing resorts. Once purchased at a pro shop at any of the courses, the pass give tourists the opportunity to enjoy golf at all three resorts. However, after the restatement of the deal, the pass will be sold at $299, which will make the visit
cheaper and more enjoyable.
The news was confirmed by the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Terrace Downs Resort, Jon Doherty. Speaking to the press, he said, “It’s a great initiative to help put Canterbury on the map as a golfing destination
and there are plenty more great courses here too! Our new affiliation with EpiKurean has given us significant access into international markets through which this pass is now being promoted, so it is great that we can extend the validity period of this offer
to entice more international golfers to our region.”
Similar sentiments were reflected in the statement given by Clearwater General Manager Steven Power. He stated, “We are pleased to be offering golfers the opportunity to experience Clearwater while also partaking in
rounds at Terrace Downs and Pegasus. The aim of the offer is to entice golfers and their partners to Canterbury to sample the best of the region.”
The Canterbury Resort Golf pass is a brilliant way to promote the sports in the region. Not only that, but it would also help in gathering some needed recognition in the international fraternity. Canterbury has issued
passes to foreigners, but they have neglected the locals, who make up most of the market. The trio should try including them in the deal, as it would help in the hunt for talent from within.
