Question:

The Card Paradox?

I want this to be explained out in answer in whatever way you see fit to answer it, in either a math equation or in theory.

On one side of a card, it said,

"The Other Side of This Card is True."

The other side of the card said,

"The Other Side of This Card is False."

What does the card mean? Is either side true/false? Explain.

  1. 1 side = positive

    other side = negative

so positive x negative = negative

    so both sides are lying

    EDIT

Oh man I dunno lol it's been ages since I did Maths and this answer was a guess, why don't you try posting the question in the Maths section or something? :'] Would it make sense if I said one of the sides can't be true 'cos there's always the negative side cancelling it out? Lol hehe stupid Maths formulas bring back bad memories for me.

  2. It's a paradox.  There is no answer.

  3. Once you assume that one of the answers is right, and you flip it over, you find yourself in a never-ending cycle: First, both the sides are true, and then both the sides are false, and then true, false, etc. It really amazes me that the human mind can conjure up things like this. But like ????? said, it's a paradox - there is no answer.
