The Challenge of Never Again- if you could what would you do to stop genocide in Africa?

After World War II a collective outcry expressed in a simple two-word phrase arose: "Never Again" As the world learned of the systematic, state sponsored slaughter of millions-- the pledge that this not occur to any people, anywhere, at any time is the essence of "Never Again".

Yet, in spite of the good intentions of people of good will, continued acts of, prejudice and intolerance have still soiled the pages of history in the more than sixty years that have passed since the end of the Holocaust.

Africa-- a continent in dire need of help is suffering and it seems that no one notices and those of that do notice think there's no hope or it's not possible for just one person to change it

But what if we could change it

WHAT CAN THIS GENERATION (approx: 18- 26yrs) DO TO ENSURE THAT "NEVER AGAIN" IS NOT MERELY A RALLYING CRY, BUT A REALITY?

If I posted ads on myspace, facebook, mtv--- do you think that would help? What can we do as a generation in the US to help stop genocide in africa?

  1. I hear you like a voice in the wilderness. I honestly think that the generation you mentioned (those who grew up in the internet age) have such a lot of overstimulated overload

they can't sort the issues out.

Is Darfur more important than what what's happening to Britney Spears.

And like the generation before them- leave the big stuff to the UN and people like that. In the meantime let's party.

      Sorry, just one opinion.

      Good question!

  2. Replacing the corrupt Governments and their officials would be a start.
