Well Lewis is leading now when I thought that perhaps Ferrari would run away with it = GOOD.

Kubica from a 3rd team is firmly in the top four and is also in the 30's in terms of points = GOOD.

Massa who was written off by foolish ones has been the form driver of the past 6 races (in results terms) = GOOD.

Webbo is equal on points with a McLaren driver Heikki.....it wont last but = GOOD.

  1. Well it was quite alive towards the end of last year, no-one can deny that, but really I never thought it died, because as Raikkonen did prove last year, you don't actually know the winner until the chequered flag at Interlagos.

It's odd that you neglected to mention Heidfeld, who is currently ahead of both Kovalainen and Webber at the moment.

I do love the fact though that now there is another driver from another team in the running (Kubica). Lets face it last year, it was only Ferrari or McLaren who were going to win.

  2. Yep, 4 way fight for drivers and 3 way fight for constructors championship. Brilliant when there isn't a single driver dominating.

  3. Yes, Turkey and Monaco have shaken things up a bit and let's hope it continues, could be a good year :)

  4. I do favour Kimi over Massa.

But , I can only be honest with myself when I say the title was gifted by Massa last year.

Forget injuries, forget crashes, forget retirements.

Last race of the year.... we all know the mathematics.

Hamilton blew the best chance of a WDC ever, Massa had the race in the bag. Without moving over , in this particular Brazil race, Kimi would not have won the WDC.

However , it would be stupid, and won't make sense for Ferrari not to do what they did. KIMI already did all the hard work to be where he is , within a shot of the title.

If the situation is reversed this year, I have no doubt Kimi would happily let Massa take the crown , for himself and their team Ferrari.

Ohh yes, the championship is very alive. Great to see. KIMI to be WDC at the finish.

We wouldn't be talking about 07 , Kimi and Massa if Hamilton executed a very simple race plan. He messed it up ( blew it big time ), as it was there for the taking. Who will win then ? The Ferrair driver who mathematically can still get the WDC , or the other ferrari driver who can't take the WDC, but can record another Race Win ?

    Really, it's a no brainer.

  5. As much as I'd like Kimi to do a double, it would be amazing for Kubica to snatch it... I suppose I wouldn't mind Lewis getting it either, but we would never hear the end of it in England. It would be like England winning the world cup in '66 all over...

  6. Let's not kid ourselves, Kimi was much lighter than Felipe, Heikki was heavier than Lewis; and both McLarens were as heavy if not heavier than Massa's Ferrari. Lewis could have run longer than he did on his middle stint. He had to have been carrying a significant fuel load when he made his first stop therefore it didn't take much time to fill him up. I think the top qualifiers were all on a 2 stop strategy with Kimi being the most aggressive of the bunch. The shock on Felipe's face after qualifying said it all.

There will always be a question mark when it comes to fuel strategies because teams don't always maximize their race stints for tactical reasons.

  7. The good thing about this year is we have 4 contenders taking points away from one another and two drivers from Ferrari(the best team of the moment) are fighting against each other. KR and FM will take points away fro each other, giving LH and RK better chance to compete. I think it will be hard for RK, but he sholdn't give up until it becomes impossible because you never know what's going to happen this year with 4 drivers fighting for it.

  8. It looks very promising this year. Hamilton and the Ferraris are battling it out hard. The BMWs are on par with them as well. Heikki has yet outdone Hamilton but it could happen anytime. Then there's the question of whether renault can improve and challenge them. Plus if Nelsinho doesn't step up his game, Flav could just call Taku or Ant D to take his place.

Canada is coming up next week so I'm really looking forward to that.

  9. No doubt Lewis is going to mend his mistakes that he did last year and is going to be the champ this year.

Don't forget Heikki, he has just had a series of bad luck. Keeping in mind that with the progress of each race, McLaren is catching Ferrari in their pace and I think Heikki and Kimi are going to have a tough time battling for second place in the championship.

kimi is a good driver only when he is in a good car. He only knows how to exploit the speed the speed of his car on long straights. He is not as good a technical driver as Hammy. So forget that he is going to repeat last years feat.

Massa is currently having the run of his life. Just forget him. He is not going to be in the headlines for much fron now on coz the podiums are fixed for Lewis, heikki, and Kimi.

  10. Lewis aims to be the champion this year.

Kimi wants to repeat his title.

    Massa wants to beat Kimi.

    Kubica is taking the opportunity.

This will be a great battle!
