party line. Aren't other religions more palatible, because MOST of their members keep their errors and fallacies to themselves, and don't obey their leaders like mechanical robots?

  1. You should probably ask this question in R&S.  Mormons, Muslims, and other controlling religions, spread and get larger because they are required to have large families, besides spreading their false religious beliefs all over the world.  Most Christian religions don't punish people when they change religions.

  2. they are not 'required' to spread the word;

    at least not the jehovah's witnesses.

    i used to go to the church.

  3. I am a practicing LDS and am not 'required' to spread the gospel.  I am expected to be in tune with the Spirit of God and follow his promptings when an acquaintance, friend, or family member is prepared to learn about the gospel.  I am also expected to help the missionaries by feeding them, getting to know the people they are teaching, and fellowship investigators so they do not feel out of place in church or at activities.

    But many members of the LDS church choose to spread their beliefs to anyone that will listen.  This is because we know the many blessings and joys that being in the gospel brings into our lives, and want to share the blessings and joy with others, so that they can have the same things.

    We are commanded not to be pushy, though, which sometimes members forget in their enthusiasm.

  4. jesus said in the last days there will be many false teachers and people . having itching ears and swift feet will run to them not wanting to hear the truth...so be it

  5. Most religions try to spread their philosophies, at least the Christian ones. This was a commandment from Christ to his apostles when he said, "go unto the isles and unto the world.." Thus saying tell them the gospel. And , Yes, they are like robots, never questioning nor changing from old dogma that has existed and is passed from generation to generation, which are in keeping with any flaw or misconception they teach.
