  1. yeah, thats exactly what it is.... JJ Abrams (the director) said this himself. He walked into a store in Japan and saw godzilla toys and thought that America needs its own monster too, thats how the movie came about.

  2. That would be awesome!

Though it would technically be the US 'national' monster.

  3.       I think it would be perfect, BUT the Japanese had the atomic bomb and Hiroshima to base Godzilla on, and made him a reflection of this. That was and why he still is so popular, never mind the undertones of revenge.

The cloverfield monster I assume is based on our anxiety and fear of terrorism, and in that sense Cloverfield can be the U.S. monster, but even though I love monster movies I dont know if it approached that level as had Godzilla, even though I wish it did (maybe it will), not to mention the cloverfield monster is an awesome design!

  4. i think its a good idea to make one but i dont think the cloverfield one should be it i dont know how to explain it but country monsters are more simple and not that advanced

  5. I thought that was king kong but I guess we could have more than one.

  6. i think the jersey devil would be pissed

  7. ah.... no.

  8. Awesome

  9. But I thought that George W. Bush was this nations "monster" and "uncle" d**k Cheney was the mad scientist behind him, with Sect. Rice playing Igor along with a cast of thousands all to be seen at the Republican National Convention?!?
