Besides the different Grade races, the Corona Sprint Trophy – Heats a Grade OR chase was also included in the Monday’s meeting, scheduled on the dirt track of Nottingham on 31st of October 2011. Covering the trip of 305 meters, the three heats
entailing the purse of £125 was organised, to decide the qualifiers of the next round.
The first race opened the trap doors at 8:36, to declare the worthy winner of the show.
Wearing red and white jacket trainer P Harnden’s black b***h was placed in trap 1 for her combat.
Not with the most ideal odds, Rathanny Kate took full advantage of the scenario and unveiled her hidden talent. Commencing her chase with a tremendous early pace, the four-year-old gave her rivals the run for their money.

Right after Heat 1, the second show opened the trap doors to break out the blaze on Nottingham’s synthetic track.
The trap 6 racer who was placed in with 9 – 4 odds, inspiringly reserved his place in the next race. Trainer P Curtin’s blue and fawn dog commenced his chase from trap 6.
His astonishing speed and abrupt attitude helped him in showing off his racing talent. Rallying with promptness and swiftness, Farloe Ashes became a huge threat for rest of his contenders.
Leading the lot of hounds throughout the race, P Curtin’s hound eventually accomplished in crossing the finish line in the estimated time of 17.97 seconds.
The star of the last Heat was trainer L Tuffin’s Cuddlers Corner. The black and white dog surprised everyone with his fanatical rallying speed.
Not in the chase with the idyllic odds, the trap 1 racer soon attained the pointer spot and made it his own until he crossed over. In the estimated time of 18.32 seconds, L Tuffin’s hound made him proud by hitting the wire at first place.
After winning the purse in the Corona Sprint Trophy – Heats, the three fortunate hounds, Rathanny Kate, Farloe Ashes and Cuddlers Corner will be going forward in the next round.
