This is not homework help! I have to do a report on the book by Alexandre Dumas and I have the 1462 page version with 117 chapters. Is there a shorter version? With only 73 chapters? How long is it? And can I have a link to where you found out, if you have one?

  1. Wow!  You have the unabridged edition which is crazy long.  The abridged version will give you the same story, it just cuts out all the teeny tiny details that really have no bearing on the story.

Definitely read the abridged... You won't be missing out on anything significant and you'll probably end up liking the book instead of dreading it.

The link below is to an abridged version, but I guarantee you will find the abridged at any bookstore or library.  It's actually more difficult to find the unabridged than the abridged!

  2. it doesn't get any shorter unless you buy a version with smaller print. try spark notes or cliffs notes or watch the movie but the book is really good. take it one chapter at a time and enjoy it- don't force yourself
