What do you think about waht happened to David Ragan on Sunday in the crash between Jr. McMuarry, and David? I think that David did waht he should have done. I also find it unfair to him that he did what he should have done and still got punished(by punished I mean wrecked). What is your take on it?

  1. He did not do what he should have done. He should have stopped. That's how you avoid wrecks, not by trying to swerve through at 146 miles per hour and expect not to get tagged.

  2. Wrecks happen. You sometimes can do everything right and they're no way out of it. It's unfortunate but if you start the race, you can get wrecked at anytime.

  3. p**p happens.

    Plain and simple.

    NEXT!!!

  4. Chit happens.  Innocent drivers get taken out all the time by somebody else's wreck.  Sometimes, they just don't have time to react or anywhere to go to avoid the wreck.

Was it fair Jr got wrecked by Mears at Cali?  Or by Shurb at Richmond?  Or by Hamlin at Dover?  or McMurray at NH?

  5. Junior showed signs he was pitting he was slowing down and getting ready to pit when mcmurray could not figure out where the break was to stop and he had lots of time to go around jr. The fact that david wrecked was unfair but you should slow down when there is a wreck around you. Mcmurray should have been drivin defensesively and he did not go around jr. BUT hey mistakes happen and its just life.

But jr did show the signs he was getting ready to go down pit road.

I think mcmurray was not thinking about what was going on around him or the fact that he did not see jr slowing up. I  think that when someone up ahead is slowing and you see yourself getting closer to them quickly hey go around. As for david he had bad luck that day and did not get much time to react and save his car from being wrecked.

  6. See, that's why IRL will never be NASCAR. You touch wheels in IRL, it's a catastrophe.

  7. I thought it was extremely unfair too. He really had no where to go. But it's racin', that stuff happens and their's always this weekend and the next. Hopefully David will get a top 5 or a win.(Which I've been hoping for all year.)

  8. Hey it happens...move on to the next race

    DAYTONA!!!

  9. I really like David , but I still think it was a wrong place, wrong time kinda thing! When Jamie hit Jr he slid up the track. David tried to go underneath Jamie, but Jamie slid back down the track to fast and hit David! It was unfair what happened to David, but that's racing!

  10. When people engage in a sport where a split second decision can make the difference between life and death, they know the risks.  The chances of wrecking is always there.  Sometimes a bump and runs just gets someone out of your way, sometimes it leads to something far worse. Is it unfair?  No.  It is life.  It is not just "racing hard" when a driver does it deliberately do "send someone into the wall". Experienced racers know this.  The only way  to become an experienced racer is to race.
