  3. To be more specific the Crusades during the 1100s and 1200s were fought between the Roman Catholics(Latins), the Orthodox Christians(Byzantines) and the Muslims. The murder and plundering that went on between these three religious sects against each other is astonishing.....all in the name of religion.

  4. Christians and Muslims

  5. For the most part, the Roman Catholics, because the Pope wanted

    a) more converts

    and

    b) more territories,

and the Muslims, becasue their land was being invaded by a bunch of misguided people.

  8. More appropriately...

The Roman Catholics and the Muslims.

At that time, the pope still controlled a vast part of europe.  A large portion of the knights fighting belonged to holy orders under the direction of the Pope.  They weren't controlled by kings, but through orders from Rome.  Most of the other christian religions weren't created until way after the time period the crusades took place in.

  9. The Christian Crusaders and the Muslim Saracens.

  10. Christians and Muslims my friend. =)
