  1. Wow you are negative.

Personally, I hope the Cubs take the series.

I don't know that they will, but they are definitely going to the playoffs..

  2. In September.

  3. Either in October, when they play the Angels, or in 2009 after they win the WS.

It's not going to be during the 2008 season.

  4. Don't understand? They were picked to lose when Soriano went on the DL and Ramirez was out for a couple games, too. That's the thing with their lineup. There's no really weak spot. From Soriano up at the top all the way down to DeRosa or Fontenot at the bottom, they have an offense that can flick a switch at almost any point and become on fire.

Their starters, when they're on their game, are incredible. Even Marquis and Lilly, who I'm not crazy about, have pulled their weight. With Harden, the surprise Dempster, and Harden in the rotation, Gaudin, Marmol, Samardzija, and Wood in the setup/closer roles, the pitchers are going to be fine. You'd be hard-pressed to find another lineup and bullpen like the one the Cubs have this year.

If your basing the question on the Cubs past failures, then the team down in Tampa Bay must be a fluke then too, right? All that franchise done is lose since they became a team, but look at them now. Sitting atop the AL East with Boston and the Yankees, with a strong shot at going to the playoffs.

  5. In November when baseball ends.  Hands Down they are the best team in MLB.  Great lineup, solid SP, Solid Defense, strong bullpen.

  6. In the WS

  7. Why are they due to lose?  Why can't they just continue winning?  Only clueless baseball fans think that the past has anything to do with the present.

  8. I'd give them another 15 days or so.  By then they'll be pretty much locked into a playoff spot and looking to rest their stars.  That combined with a tough end of the year schedule will likely cause them to lose a few more than they win.  But they almost certainly won't slide out of a playoff spot at that point.

  9. Killzone is right.  Between Sept 4th and 8th, there will be at least two days they don't win.

  10. Great Question! I was actually thinking that myself!!! I'll go ahead and say next week. Seems the closer they get to taking it all, boom....the bubble bursts.

  11. Not today.

    Harden is untouchable right now.

  12. Their slide will start in November.

  13. 6 Days from now.
