  1. Another clueless fan that thinks teams don't go through rough spots throughout the season.  Here's a few pieces of information for you to ponder over.  The Cubs have not lost more then 4 games in a row all season long.  The Cubs also have scored the most runs in the NL and have the best run differential in MLB.  The Cubs will be fine.  They're in a small slump that they will soon break out of.  They just happened to catch the Astros at a bad time; they're the hottest team in baseball right now.  Also with where the Cubs are at right now it's next to impossible for them to fall apart so much that they miss the playoffs.  With about 23 games left the Cubs have a 4 1/2 game lead in the division and if they somehow lost the division to the Brewers then they also have about a 10 game lead on the 2nd best wild card team.

  2. ....and the Mets are winning too. Smells like 1969 all over again!!

Anyone seen a black cat lately, or do we send him on the field when the Cubs come to Shea on 9/22?

  3. THE CUBS ARE FINSHED JUST LIKE I THOUGHT

  4. Yes their is One The Brewers yes they are playing the Mets they are going to lose to them but whats left on their Schedule reflects the Talent they got against the remaining Opponents and The Cubs have a 10 Game Road Trip to Houston, Cincinnati and St. Louis, So Maybe If the Cubs and Brewers are to go at it last Weekend of the Baseball Season it will be a Lot including the Division both will be in the Playoffs, but the Last week will decide whose in Charge of The National League Central Division.

  5. So, you are thinking that no team has ever won the world series if they lost 4 games in a row in the same season?

    Sounds pretty half-baked.

  6. I think the cubs are going to be fine, they made a good comeback last night vs the astros but fell short it happens....concern may be zambrano going out with the injury...in a sense that may be a blessing because if for some reason he goes on the DL again he will be able to come back in the playoffs and be full of energy.....Curt shilling a few years ago did that with the Red Sox and was awesom in the playoffs.  They have a good pitching staff including Carlos Marmol who has the best slider i have seen in a while...kerry wood will be fine after giving up that 2 run homer that lost it for them....but overall they are going to cruz into the playoffs and hopefully all healthy

  7. Two years ago, the Cardinals won the WS and they were only 5 games over .500 in the regular season. So, I would guess that somewhere along the way, the might have had a few 4 game losing streaks themselves

  8. I wouldn't worry about it, they're just in a slump right now, With Dempster on the mound tonight hopefully we can get back in the rhythm.

  9. Losing 4 in a row is no time for concern or doubt. It happens with most teams at some point of a season. Cubs had the luxury all season of not being on a losing streak, a "serious" one, do to their pitching, and timely hitting. They had just run into a couple of hot teams, especially The Astros, and shouldnt be concerned. They are quite deep, and will be happy that this mini losing streak occurs now, rather then entering the playoffs. Many just expected them to crumble as they have in years past, but truly wont happen. They are headed to the playoffs. How they fair, is yet to be known.

  10. CUBS....
