The Curse....is it back again???

Question

We all know about the Madden Curse. For those that don't the Madden Curse is basically the player that is on the cover of the Madden Football game experiences: a bad season/big decline in stats or an injury that keeps them out of several games. Favre is back and things haven't gone well for him so far, now he is a Jet, has the Madden Curse already struck or well this be a long season for #4???

I'm a firm believer that the Madden curse doesn't exist, and its just been a series of actions destined to happen with or without the cover.

But, if it does exist, does switching jerseys change your luck?  Favre was cursed for next season as a PACKER.  So what happens when Favre the JET takes the field?  

Number 4 in green and white isn't cursed, is he?  Its just the green and gold number 4 that's cursed.  That's my thinking.

Well I don't believe in the curse but for the sake of an answer I'd say it has already struck. His legacy has been hurt and he likely won't be nearly as high thought of in Green Bay. But I wish the best for him in New York. I'm glad this whole mess is finally over.

Yes, I thought it was gone when he retired, but when he came back, i just got this feeling that he wasn't gonna do so well because his age and the curse.

He will suffer in NY. If you think things are going rough now, he will be in for a loooooong season. And I feel like he has it coming to him.

I think it's back. Look at it objectively: Favre is in a new system, with new coaches and a new playbook. He's a great player, but that's a lot to learn in 4 weeks before the season starts....

He was supposed to break the curse when he retired. Just look at the list starting in 2000 with Barry Sanders.

Favre is in for it. Maybe immortalized in a video game gives these players a false sense of entitlement. Or maybe it's pure coincidence. Either way the Jets aren't making the playoffs and Favre will ultimately regret this decision.
