The DNC tonight - did it sound like a rivival meeting?

Maybe it's just me, but while watching the DNC tonight, I got the impression I was in a tent revival and some one was trying to sell me some snake oil. Audience and speakers alike gave me this impression.

It isn't just you that's for sure. It sounded like a tent revival to me too. What sickened me was how Hillary Clinton was standing there lying her @ss off. You and most people know how she really feels. Now we have to watch tomorrow to see what Bill will do. I'm sure he'll do the same as Hillary. What a joke.

Sort of... but the republican convention will be much moreso because there will be a large collection of true Jesus freaks there. I woudn't be surprised if some of them speak in tongues and handle snakes.

Is this the first convention you have ever seen?  They are all like that, it pretty much IS what a convention is.  A glorified pep rally. The RNC will be the same way.
