I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 and the last time I put in a movie it worked just fine.....that was about a month or two ago. Now I just bought a game and put it in and nothing happens. Normally it would autoplay and show up under my computer but now nothing and it doesn't show up. I can hear it start spinning and the little green/yellow light flashes when I first put in the cd, then the spinning stops and the light goes out. I also tried to type in the D:\ and program name (my DVD-ROM drive) in the run menu and it can't find it. A couple of weeks ago I kept getting a window popping up saying one of the drivers was disabled because it wasn't running properly or something, I don't know much about computers and didn't pay too much attention to it.....but What is going on and how can I fix it?? THANKS A TON

  1. Try Reinstalling it or using a spare drive from a friend (and get a computer expert to install it on your laptop) or someone you know to check if it isn't the settings in the laptop that are doing it. If not send your laptop away to be serviced or buy another CD Rom drive.

    Hope this helps.
